On this week, we made an animated Photoshop Brush using Adobe Flash and After Effects. I came up with many ideas ― the falling snow, the growing grass, and the storming weather, after struggling to come up with proper background, I decided to use a picture I took on the northwest coast of Washington to do the lighning effect. It was pretty easily to use brushes and size them in different location, the most difficult part was how to animate it. I’ve tried it several times to get the best result.

I am trying to do shape animation in an After Effect. It is a powerful software that could make many motion effects. I was playing around with merge paths, repeaters, strokes, trim paths, twist/wiggle paths, wiggle transform, and a true spiral with Illustrator path. It was just amazing when I adjusted those different setting. The tutorial lecture was really helpful to learn how to use those effects to create the animation. I finished this animation finally, and I really don’t like the finished video. The music doesn’t quite match the animation, and I have no idea how to fix it. It’s my first time using this software and I have a steep learning process, I am still learning what I can do and how to use it.

It’s a 3D Photo Gallery I made by using After effect and Photoshop. The couple of the pictures have individual 2.5D animation applied. I desaturated the last group picture as a great ending with the music added. The final video turned out very well and I really love it.  It is very pleased to see the final video, though I spent a lot of time to figure out the process.
